We often look at the people around us and what they’re doing, accomplishing, succeeding at…
Then we recalibrate our actions and intentions because they “might” beat us at our game.
Paul Graham’s quote is brilliant in its simplicity.
If someone IS going to surpass you, why shouldn’t it be YOU?
No word games here…
Simple put, look at where YOU are and what surpassing that would look like.
Set a new target based on YOUR progress and forget those around you.
Let them lose their way trying to catch up to your NEW goal or target.
Keep your eyes on your own paper, as we were taught in school.
It was the best way to know your own abilities and talents.
Now add a bit of brilliance to it, and NO ONE surpasses you, ever!
