Joseph Campbell is well known for writing about the hero’s journey and how it relates to everyday life.
His model has been used by authors, speakers, in corporate programs, as part of defining a spiritual path and more for inspiration and to motivate the achievement of a goal or result.
Most notably, many movies follow this model for defining how the main character will evolve during the story.
Why is the hero’s journey important? The hero’s journey demonstrates that change is possible for everyone. It shows us that an ordinary person can overcome great adversity and defeat their enemies or fears. With some help, they can affect the world in some way.

I think that this quote, identifying what we truly seek, whether on a hero or other journey is much more inspirational.
When you think about what we do in everyday life, are we not looking to “experience” something as a result?
It could be love, respect, admiration, support, partnership, etc.
It’s a way of feeling and being alive in the world.
So get out there…experience all that’s meant for you…it’s why “it’s” there.
