Conversations: Loves to learn

Hey Chris,

I’ve enjoyed reading your conversations. I’ve learned a lot and gained some insights that have helped me…thank you.

I’ll keep this short and sweet.

What is the very BEST way to make a right decision?

Signed,

Thank you Loves to learn, for reading and learning something from the conversations! I appreciate knowing that it’s making a difference!

On to your question…

There are two things that “popped” for me when I read your question.

One is, ”the very BEST way” and two, ”a right decision.”

Let’s examine them separately, even though I believe the same result will apply.

The very BEST way, is ALWAYS the way that feels true to you. That means, it’s not something that someone told you to do, suggested that you do or recommended that you do.

It comes from within you and what you consider “BEST.”

Now, I’m not coping out here, Loves to learn, because people will give you their input on “the very BEST way” simply based on what you have shared with them. Then they will dip into their basket of experiences and try to guide you the way THEY would go.

No shade. No shame.

But no way can they give you the “BEST” even with what you’ve shared…because they are not YOU.

I’ve always found it easier to take in input and swirl it around in MY experience and then make a decision that feels like:

  • One, it IS my decision,
  • Two, I can feel comfortable moving in that direction and
  • Three, I have no one to celebrate or blame if it turns out that there was another “BEST.”

Let me close on the first part of your question by saying this Loves to learn…

I honestly don’t believe there is ever a very BEST, because conditions are what they are at the time and we know conditions can change. So don’t get hung up on the very BEST, instead focus on making a way feel BEST for you.

Ok, let’s tackle a “right decision.”

I think you know where I’m going here.

All decisions that you make, are right for you at the time. You’re making them based, again, on the current conditions – which includes what you know, what you don’t know and what could be true/untrue, right?

You wouldn’t “intentionally” make a wrong decision, right?

Well, not unless you wanted to see how it worked out…in which case you’re simply trying to “LEARN” something.

Yes, I went there…lol

Trying to make the “very BEST and right decision” is like chasing a kite in the wind. While it’s underway it looks pleasant, but when the wind subsides, it heads for the nearest power line or tree. Not the intention when it started right?

But when rescued from its perch, and hopefully not damaged, it can be flown again….and hopefully a lesson well learned.

Every “way” and “decision” is an opportunity to learn something. This is right up your alley!

So let your gut, your instincts, or your knowing guide you and that will no doubt lead you to YOUR very best and “rightest” way of reaching any powerful decision.
