Conversations: Not asking for much

Ok Chris,

I just want an easy, happy life. I’m not asking for the world. But how to achieve that?

Signed,

Not asking for much

~~~~~~~~~~
Oh I’m WITH you there, not asking for much!
And I actually don’t think you’re asking for much…
I just don’t think you know what you’re asking…for.
An easy and happy life requires you to identify what will make it so.
It also requires you to create it in a way that:
  • works for your good
  • doesn’t work against the good of others
And most importantly, is easily recognizable.
Here’s what I mean by that…
Many times in our days, weeks, months, we are actually living an easy and happy life. But we don’t stop and acknowledge it.
We keep hustling on and forget to, as they say, “stop and smell the roses.”
Think about it…
When was the last time you stopped, in the moment, and said, “wow, now THIS is what life’s all about!”
It could be watching a sunset, sunrise, drinking the best beverage you’ve ever made for yourself, the best meal, the best smile someone gave you, the end of a great meeting, you get the idea.
That’s an easy and happy life…when we can, in the moment, stop and embrace the ease and grace of our lives.
You can have that without asking.
It works for your good and doesn’t work against the good of others…most importantly, is easily recognizable.
Enjoy, embrace and look for more times when you can stop and say to yourself, “now this is really what life’s all about.”
I guarantee you’ll start seeing and feeling more of them.
The happy, easy life is not only yours for the asking…it’s yours because you deserve it.
~ Let life love you!
