Hello give me my dream,
The short answer is…you may be listening to “some” people and not your own heart.
Only you, truly know the real reason you’re not making the progress you want.
And if you say you don’t know the “real” reason, I suspect you’re hiding from it!
I recall when I was running my own coaching/consulting business and was having a conversation with my coach. She was asking me why I wasn’t having more sales calls so that I could make more money in my business.
I told her that I think it’s fear. That the fear of rejection was getting in the way. She suggested that I create a script and start having more conversations to get more clients.
Short story…I didn’t.
And I knew why I didn’t. It absolutely wasn’t fear of rejection. I would be the first to go out networking and meet new people, sharing what I did and how I could serve them.
You know what my “real” reason was?
I didn’t want to do what everyone else was doing to get clients. Doing cold calls, scripted calls, sales calls all felt funky to me. In fact, when coaches approached me to try to make me a client that way, I could smell the sale from the first “hello” and I went running.
When I realized what would be more “me” in the sales scenario, I started getting clients and making money.
You know what it was? I LOVE speaking! It’s my way of “teaching” and that’s what my clients responded to.
It’s not for everyone, but it was for me! And because I felt so good doing it, I attracted clients and contracts because of it.
Unfortunately by the time I realized this, I had already fired my coach! lol So she’ll never know that she inspired me to go deep and stop hiding from the “real” reason.
You KNOW the “real” reason, give me my dream.
Acknowledging it will open the doors to living your dream.
Give yourself permission to say it, feel it, know it and let IT inspire you to “get” your dream…now.
