I think I’ve discovered what is the biggest obstacle to my personal growth. It’s people not growing with you.
Would you agree that this is a significant reason I’m stuck?

Well, just stuck in place…you’re not going to like this.
I do not agree with you.
YOUR personal growth has nothing to do with other people…whether they grow with you or not.
That’s why it’s “your personal” growth.
We don’t all grow at the same rate and pace. That’s actually a good thing. How can we see opportunity if all we see is sameness?
While I will admit that if the person or persons you love and adore are unwilling to experience personal growth, it can cause you to re-think your own pace of growth.
But re-thinking should only lead you forward, not to stay in place to make someone else feel good or comfortable with you.
By the same token, do not take it upon yourself to “help” them to discover their own personal growth — so that YOU can grow. That’s not your place.
Using someone else’s lack of personal growth as a reason why you’re stuck is just plain…I said you wouldn’t like this…cowardly.
You are brave enough to want to grow, personally, then be brave enough to not make this an excuse.
Grow, stuck in place, as you see fit.
And who knows, your growth may inspire those you love to engage in same.
But if not, know that you remain an inspiration for the rest of us.
