Conversations: Strong or weak

So Chris,

Which do you think is more important?

Amplifying your strengths, or trying to repair your weaknesses? Why?

Signed,

Strong or weak

~~~~~~~~~~
Let’s see, strong or weak…which is more important?
Well, it depends.
Let’s say your weakness keeps you from engaging in activities that will improve your health.
Conversely, let’s say your strength is getting shit done.
Imagine that one could impact the other…
Now which would you say is more important?
You see, it truly does depend.
In my much younger years, I was often advised to work on my weaknesses. Learning as much as I could about the job I was in and improving my performance. Then I could improve on the strength/knowledge I’d acquired.
As I’ve matured, I realize now that focusing on your strengths is a more powerful way of living in the world. You will always find people, social media, books, and articles that point out your weaknesses or make you feel “incomplete” in some way.
However, if you know yourself, love yourself and focus on improving yourself for yourself, I believe the weaknesses diminish and your strength grows.
The bottom line, strong or weak is this.
Where you are in life, when you ask this question, will determine which is more important.
Knowing that we are not stagnant creatures, means that this will change as often as we change our (fill in the blank)…smile
You can’t go wrong, because it all serves us in the end.
~ Let life love you!
