What your senses cannot access

The best context in which I can appreciate this quote by Helen Keller is in music…

For years I’ve dreamed of immersing myself in classical music. Not playing, listening.

I discovered a place that sold half-priced classical CDs (yes, I’m from that era) and I purchased this compilation called, Music of the Masters. It includes Mozart, Rachmaninoff, Beethoven, and more.

This compilation included a composer who would become my FAVORITE of all composers…

Chopin

There is one piece which, literally, brings me to tears…every freaking time I hear it.

It is THE MOST beautiful musical piece I’ve ever heard and it not only touches my heart…it feeds my soul.

If  you can find this kind of beauty in a sunrise, sunset, piece of music or in someone’s sheer presence…envelope yourself in it.

It’s the essence of why we’re here…to engage in and enjoy this kind of beauty.
