Is life really simple

You know, the philosophical me, would love to accept this at face value.

And in Confucius’ day, life probably WAS simple.

However, I don’t want to knock this entirely because, I think at its core, it can teach us something.

I recall during the Watergate era, there was one statement, repeated over and over by the most famous “whistleblower” of all time — Deep Throat.

To the reporters, he said over and over again…

Follow the money.

Simple, right?

The conspiracy was complex, however if they just stayed focused on “the money” they could determine who was behind the whole thing…and they did.

So I guess if we agree with Confucius and say that life is simple, we might always start with “what’s the simplest aspect of  this complex problem?”

And let that be your guide…
