You know what Chris,
I am good at finding the problems and finding out right solutions for them. But when it comes to execution, i procrastinate a lot. Is there any workarounds or solution for this problem.

Hi working around it,
Problem solving is an art. And it sounds like you have a system of finding and solving problems.
I wonder if that’s just where most of your energy lies and therefore the execution takes a back seat.
If you’ve ever been in a corporate environment, you’ll soon recognize those who can look at and solve problems expertly. Yet, when it comes to the execution of the solution, they…well, stink.
Some people are just amazing at developing while others are great at delivering. It’s just their jam. And maybe, that’s true for you.
In my own life, I love to create and develop new programs, products and solutions. I’m really good at designing strategies and identifying approaches that can help you achieve the results you want.
When it comes to executing on some of them, I procrastinate. (sound familiar?)
In my business, I would hire virtual assistants to help with the execution and getting things done. I, essentially, delegated the implementation part so that I could do what I was good at.
That’s a strategy for you to consider.
So here’s some potential “workarounds.”
- Who, in your life, is really good at the “doing” of things but really doesn’t want to be in the “thinking” business?
- How can you help someone develop their implementation skills, by partnering with to help you with the execution?
- Finally, if you’re on a team, pay attention to those who have ideas and those who like to see the ideas in action. That will tell you who to team up with as a yin to your yang.
Oftentimes, we think we have to be the person who not only comes up with the solution but also have to be the sole implementer.
It helps if you can find someone who WANTS to implement great ideas and partner with them to create amazing results you can both be proud of.
I hope that helps, working around it!
