Ugh Chris,
I would like to know, why do I still feel lonely!
I’ve been engaging in lots of work in myself and my self development, trying constantly to take care of myself, my mental health and figuring out things I like doing and doing them, following a habit tracker and occupying the 90% of my time and thinking…
But then I aaaalways find time to think how lonely I feel and for how long I’d be feeling lonely… I’m exhausted of this feeling …what can I do please?
Signed,
Lonely and exhausted

Ah lonely and exhausted,
I feel the frustration in your words.
I also notice that you’ve got a LOT of introspection going on. While this is always powerful in learning more about yourself, when that’s ALL you’re focused on you can become isolated.
And isolation can lead to…yeah.
So, it’s always good to get outside of yourself and focus on something else, that will serve to give you even greater clarity about yourself.
Here’s what I mean…
Get out and into something that puts you around others.
It could be a volunteer opportunity, even walking through an outdoor fair or festival and stopping to talk to the vendors.
It could be hanging out with a group of like minded individuals…(check out meetup.com for some options) and learning more about what they do and why they do it.
Spending time working on ourselves is important and valuable.
However, if you don’t have a reference point to demonstrate how great you’re doing, you’ll feel like you’re not making any progress. Being around others will highlight how far you’ve come and perhaps shine a light on areas to further develop.
It will also impact that feeling of loneliness.
I so congratulate you for taking on the mantle of self-care, however, I request that try helping others do that same by being a role model. You can do this simply by being in their presence.
You will then find that loneliness dissolving and your self-care taken to a new level.
Get out there my friend and show them how it’s done!
