I can remember “starting over” in my careers…
Fresh out of college and into my first corporate job… I wanted to run things in short order. Uh, no.
Then when I started my business… I wanted to be a multimillionaire in short order. Uh, no.
Finally (for now) I’m in a public sector role. I wanted to skip ahead to the highest grade in short order. LOL
What I’ve learned in all of these varied “starts” is that starting at the bottom served me well.
When I did get to the “short order,” I was far more confident, courageous and ultimately successful because of the bottom rungs.
Start there…trust me, you won’t stay there long.
