So…it’s been a while since I shared my thoughts on this blog (now renamed Mindset Mastery…but more on that in a minute).

When I heard that 2025 was the year of the Snake, I immediately said…”makes perfect sense.”
It wasn’t an easy year for me and for most folks I know. I saw a lot of loss, heard a lot of tears, waded through a shit-ton of fears. It was not good. That’s probably the reason why I couldn’t give my energy and love to this powerful space. And to be honest…it broke my heart. You don’t invest 3 solid years of “conversations” designed to help others beat self defeat…only to find yourself…”defeated.”
Sure, I did begin looking at where I could better serve you and think about shifting my focus from “self-development” to a specific audience. I took some courses and invested in some training. Like everyone else, I explored ChatGPT and different approaches to coaching and mentoring.
At the end of the search, I thought about where I got my REAL “juice” from… Where did I come alive in guiding others to see their true brilliance in the world. I remembered… It was when I worked with a small health insurance office, guiding the sales professionals to use what they already knew to create breakthroughs in their sales results. I, specifically, recalled one day I spent over 8 hours meeting with each team member and left feeling more energized than when I walked in. I appreciated the hill they were climbing and helped them see the top was within reach, every. time. I love doing that!
So while 2025 was a “snake” of a year, there were bright spots that kept me from losing my freaking mind. I redesigned my website, I created a new self-coaching tool to help you “remember” your innate expertise and best of all… I went to a writers retreat for one week, in Denver, Colorado and completed the first draft of my book, You are stuck, by choice!
All in all, the year became a bit more balanced in retrospect. Crap at work, LIFE at home.

Now, here we are in 2026…the year of the Horse. Predictions are that this will be the year of momentum and action.
With my focus on helping sales professionals use their innate experience and consulting for sales organizations, I don’t want my self-development community to feel abandoned. Remember…beating self-defeat is a noble and important goal, no matter what you do or who you be.
I’m also returning to a passion I have for using a book that I’ve LOVED for over 20 years! It was first published in 1998! The content and context is STILL as relevant and powerful as the day Robert Greene published it. The book is The 48 Laws of Power. I’ve used it as a platform for a podcast, for coaching clients and I ACTIVELY use it at work, today. I didn’t realize it how ingrained it was for me, until I was reviewing it as content for the “Mindset Mastery” aka our Blog for 2026. Mastering your mindset is the KEY to beating self defeat, because outside influences will simply challenge you to forget. I, simply, won’t let you forget the powerful, innate expertise you possess. As I share the Laws with you, I’ll share how I’ve used them to create success, and MOST IMPORTANTLY, protected my peace and expertise, while chaos reigned all around me.
With the new focus, editing and marketing the book to publishers and the commitment to helping you master your mindset this year, by using what you already know, now and with the added knowledge of the Laws of Power, you’ll be galloping to success (and peace) in your life and career in 2026.
This is an exciting new opportunity and new year…to remember. I will remind you, each chance I get, how much the world needs who you were meant to be…and more importantly, that the gift you bring to the world is…you.
Thank you for joining me in this journey to beat self-defeat and for using your own innate talent and expertise to be the spark of brilliance you truly are.
Always remember…
You, are the gift.
