Yet, I think this quote was a bit manipulative.
At a time when people were struggling and being challenged by the ravages of war, he wants to shift the mindset from what they can get to recover, to what they can give.
I understand…it’s meant to bring the country together…yada, yada…
But you know, it’s no different than JFK saying, “ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.”
