Conversations: Which way is up

Hey Chris,

In my lowest moments I’ve asked myself what’s the point? Why bother?

Signed,

Which way is up

~~~~~~~~~~
Thank you for reaching out, which way is up…
I can feel the despair in your question. At the same time, I’m thrilled with receiving it!
If you’re willing to ask, then you’re looking for the way up and out of that low point.
Let me reassure you…you are not the only person to hit those low moments and wonder aloud or to yourself, what’s the point, why even bother.
Here’s the thing I want you to consider.
If you’ve found that low point, it’s actually a blessing.
So many of us keep asking, when is enough enough? When do I find the bottom of this?
Yes, I am speaking from experience.
I went looking for the “bottom” of a problem and the more I searched the farther it was. What was keeping me from it?
Me.
Me “defining” what the bottom would be…instead of allowing the bottom to meet me where I was. My trying to find the bottom vs. acknowledging that I was AT bottom was my issue.
When you’re at the lowest point, you can now let go.
You can let go of what you think should be important. You can let go of who you think should be important. You can just let go.
And then…you know what happens?
You are given reasons to look up. You find things more interesting than they had ever been to you. You discover how you are worth more than you could ever count.
  • Life feels better, because it has to.
  • Love feels fresher, because it has to.
  • You feel better…because you WANT to.
So bless the low points, which way is up.
They give you access to that which was not available to you before…
And up, is the only way now.
My very best to you.
~ Let life love you!
