Conversations: Out of balance

You know Chris,

Every day, I make the decision to pursue my goals. Unfortunately, balance is not something that is not part of that decision.  At least for the time being…

And I’m good with that.

Yet I wonder if I’m missing something? MUST I have balance in pursuing my goals? I’m not sure that’s even possible?

Signed,

Out of balance

Out of balance, I appreciate you.

You already know the answer, my friend.

The pursuit of any goal in your life is a noble one. And so many people have given up on goals because they watch what’s happening in the world, in the news, on social media and more.

Therefore, pursue your goals…but not with abandon.

Do not leave yourself behind. If that means finding balance, then I ask you to do so.

Why?

There is a lot of energy, commitment and perseverance required to achieve a goal. So many hit a “rough patch” and ask themselves WHY they ever started.

EVERYBODY hits the rough patch, by the way.

However, if you’re “balanced” meaning taking care of yourself AND your goals, the rough patch is more easily managed.

  • You’ll adjust faster and find a new path to your goal, when the old fades.
  • You’ll reach back to your WHY to overcome any doubt.
  • You’ll find peace in resting, because it will give you access to new ideas, approaches and faster results.

Do NOT discount the power of balance in your life.

There will be curve balls and shake ups that will come your way. There is no straight path to any result. But the journey is what makes it more meaningful and fulfilling.

You can’t appreciate that unless there is some element of balance included in the pursuit of that which you want.

So go get ‘em where your goals are concerned.

And go “love ‘em” as far as you are concerned.

You (and the impact achieving your goals can make) are worth it!
