Is “passion” still a thing?

Where did this, “I want to help people,” thing start?

One day, I took a long look at all the different roles I’ve played in high school, college, at work and wondered if this could all add up to anything “special” for Chris Makell.

I still remember lying in bed asking myself, is this all there is? It was shortly after that that I discovered “coaching” as a skill and profession.

In 2010, I left the corporate world and launched my own coaching practice. For 6 years, I was deep into the entrepreneurial journey helping business owners, career professionals and anyone I could. I even wrote a book, “A Smack Upside The Head” to share my journey and guide business owners to enjoy theirs.

My work with sales professionals became a real breakthrough for me. I realized that this noble profession and professionals can face internal challenges that will impact external goals. I could see the passion they had for their product and clients, but there was something holding them back.

My focus became to get what’s in their way, out of the way, so that they could be far more successful.
